Media Finishing Services Intern Needed In Arlington, VA

EFX Media in Arlington, VA is looking for an EFX Finishing Services Intern for the Summer months (June - Sept), starting ASAP. The Internship position is UNPAID.
“This internship is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic go-getter who is excited about learning the ins and outs of the media services industry. Under the guidance of the Finishing Services Manager, the Intern will learn the full operation of the Duplication Center: including transfers to and from broadcast and consumer video; audio; CD and DVD formats; packaging; print layout and basic editing skills. The Intern will also learn the full operation of the Compression Center: including working from various tape or electronic file formats and converting them into deliverable electronic files for use in programming CD-ROM’s, authoring DVD’s and Web content design. The Finishing Services Intern will have the opportunity to participate in various stages of project development
while interacting with clients, vendors and EFX staff members. In addition to working in the Finishing Services Department, the Intern will assist in a wide variety of other capacities at EFX. These may include participation in weekly production meetings, acting as a grip/PA on shoots, working on one of our three Avid editing systems, cataloging tapes, performing research, front office support and more.”
