Do You Find Yourself Watching More TV or Streaming Video?

By Frey | June 10, 2007

I figured I’d throw this out as a conversation starter (feel free to login and add your comment), but, per week, do you find yourself watching more Television programming or Streaming Internet Video (Youtube, etc.)?

I realize Hollywood still spends billions of dollars on television programming a year, but in this day and age, with people uploading everything from goldfish swimming, to Star Wars spoofs and re-edits (like Star Wars: The Empire Brokeback) on Youtube and other great video streaming sites. Do you think the internet has grown beyond Television? Do you think Television will start following the internet streaming trends, instead of vice-versa?

One good thing that Television still has going for it is the much higher quality (and HD programming is extra nice, I have to say). But is this enough to keep your eyes on that big 50″ wide screen? Or do you find that your eyes wander over to that really small, heavily compressed streaming video?
