Elsewhere… “Something Missie” Premieres (Indianapolis Imax)

By Frey | July 16, 2007

It’s not a Maryland thing (but it is a film thing), but since I also run the Konvas.org website and discussion list, which is dedicated to Konvas, Kinors, Lomo Lenses, and other Russian cameras, lenses, and film gear, I figured I’d pass this along:

Hi all. Just wanted to let you all know how grateful I am to the list and such a great community. Because….

After 7 years of working on our feature with the help of Russian equipment and you guys, it is finally complete!

Konvas.org got a huge credit, and the cameras are featured in the behind the scenes on the DVD. Anyhow, we’re premiering at the Indianapolis Imax on July 20th with a reception to follow with live music from the soundtrack, open bar, food, and a sideshow of oddities, do go along with the theme of the movie. I want to give an extra special thanks to members Greg Daley and Pat Steele.

I doubt anyone lives near enough to Indy to come to the premiere, but I’d love to see some fellow Konvas/Kinor enthusiasts, Please let me know if you think you can make it!

Thanks again, and I’m looking forward to my next feature with Russian gear!

P.S. we’ll have better clips on the website soon…

He also had this to add:

Oh yes there is a DVD, will ship after the premiere. You can get it at http://somethingmissiestore.com. This is also currently where the info and tickets to the premiere are posted.
