Casting Call: Actors Needed for Short Film “Price of the Dream” in Washington, DC

Casting call notice for Price of the Dream, which is a Howard University Graduate Short Film to be shot in Washington, DC by director Isaac Christ during the month of December.
CASTING NOTICE: Seeking versatile African American actors for Graduate short film, “Price of the Dream,” shooting in Washington, D.C tentatively scheduled for early December.
Compensation includes meals, performance credit, and a copy of the project.
Auditions will be held at Howard University’s John H. Johnson School of Communications at 525 Bryant Street, NW, Washington, DC 20059:
1) Saturday, November 10th, 2007 11:30am-2pm 2) Sunday, November 11th, 2pm – 3:30pm
Note: Enter from side door of the building on the side closest to WHUR. Take the stairs or elevator to Room 211,213.

Please be prepared to present a dramatic monologue (not to exceed two minutes), and to complete a cold read. Include role you wish to audition for and ideal audition date/time.
Tagline: A working class mother deals with a conflict of values, faith and family as she considers aborting her unborn child.
Mother/wife – Early thirties, works as a domestic. Juggles many roles; harried wife, overburdened mother. Desires a better life for her family.
Grandmother – Late fifties, widow, Christian ethic, matriarchal.
The Husband– Early to late thirties. Feels hemmed in by his place as a black man in society.
