2008 Rosebud Film and Video Festival Call for Entries

Call for Entries in the 2008 Rosebud Film and Video Festival is in progress. Go to www.RosebudFestival.org for additional information, submission guidelines and to download entry forms.
DEADLINE for submissions to the 2008 festival is March 30, 2008.
For 18 years, the Rosebud Festival has awarded large cash prizes, film and video products, and promotional opportunities to deserving film and video artists in DC, Maryland and Virginia. The Rosebud Festival seeks works that are innovative, experimental, unusual and deeply personal.
Each year an independent panel selects 20 nominees from all entries received. All 20 finalists will be screened at a special Nominee Showcase, on Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the Rosslyn Spectrum Theater. The 5 winners - including one Best of Show - will be announced at a gala awards celebration, on the evening of June 15th, at the beautiful Clarendon Ballroom. In addition to promotional opportunities and special screenings, the 5 winners will each receive $1,000.00 cash. In addition to the cash prize, the Best of Show winner will receive an additional $500.00 of video tape and production services, courtesy of Arlington Independent Media.
The Rosebud competition is open exclusively to DC, Maryland and Virginia filmmakers with works first released between January 1, 2006 and March 30, 2008. Entry fee for the Rosebud competition is only $25.00 and includes one year membership in Arlington Independent Media.
