Release of New Movie: “One-Eyed Horse”
By Frey | August 13, 2008
Ruth Holmes of One-Eyed Horse Productions in Linthicum, MD sent this in yesterday. I think it’s a little late to get the word out about the premiere, but still:
One-Eyed Horse, a new feature film by Wayne Shipley, had its sellout world premiere at Diamond Cinemas Westview on July 22, with a limited engagement July 23 AND 24. For preview and DVD go to info@one-eyedhorse.com.
One-Eyed Horse is the tragic story of two men who cannot escape an entangled past, and the innocent lives destroyed while one pursues a deadly vendetta.
Justin Gatewood (Mark Redfield), a hard, bitter man, has been released from federal prison after serving a five-year sentence for the attempted murder of an old enemy, William Tecumseh Curry (Mike Hagan).
During the Civil War, Curry, then a captain in the Union Army, force marched a ragged group of Confederate prisoners, Gatewood and his younger brother among them. In the bitter winter weather, Gatewood experienced the horror of leaving his wounded brother behind to die, and has forever held Curry accountable. Torn between his love of his daughter, Helen (Jennifer Rouse) and his promise to her, and his consuming, obsessive hatred for Curry, Gatewood methodically hatches a plan to trap his long-time adversary, and finally kill him. In the process, the quiet town of Hadley, Missouri, long under a new order of peace and prosperity, is ripped asunder, as are the relationships of its inhabitants, but most tragically, the two men’s daughters.
One-Eyed Horse is by turns a tragic and a classic tale of the old west told with drama, action and adventure.
