Filmmakers For Tomorrow Foundation Looking for Filmmakers

Experienced Filmmaker (Film Adviser) needed to mentor aspiring filmmakers for 5 hours a week for 8-10 weeks. Role will serve as the Film Adviser for our 2009 Summer Film Project from late June through mid August 2009. Adviser will work with aspiring but knowledgeable filmmakers to help sharpen their storytelling skills and to assist them in translating a script into actual images and sounds on the screen. Most of the filming will be done on the weekends. Film Adviser is expected to mentor aspiring filmmakers on managing the technical aspects of filming, including the camera, sound, lighting, design and special effects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to get the best results from aspiring filmmakers. Extensive understanding of the entire filmmaking process including technical and creative aspects is required. Qualifications/Experience must include a minimum of 8 years of in-depth practical experience in directing films. Up-to-date knowledge of filmmaking techniques and equipment is vital.
