Photography’s Rule of Thirds

Ever wonder why your shots never seem to be as good as what you see in magazines? Or why one shot looks great, but another shot looks average? Here’s a simple way to bump your pictures up a notch: Use the rule of thirds. Both cinematography and photography use a simple rule, called the rule of thirds, to get great shots. It’s simple, make a tic-tac-toe grid on your screen (if your camera doesn’t have one built-in, then just imagine the grid). Now line up the subject with the grids lines.
